This blog started as a travel blog about my summer trips, when I ramble around Europe and sometimes other places. Hope you enjoy reading about my movement and musings and looking at some of the pictures I’ve taken along the way. My other blog page is devoted to my thoughts on Teaching Comprehensibly.

Robert’s Ramblings

Comprehensible Input is a key concept in language learning. Far too often students receive either a course in Linguistics - talking about the language in English - or a lot of INcomprehensible Input. The result? Generations of students who hated foreign language and a nation noted for monolingualism. By teaching comprehensibly we engage students and make the language a vehicle for communication, not an academic subject to be studied solely for itself. This blog is a place where I will post my thoughts and record some of my experiences in teaching comprehensibly. I invite you, the reader, to react and share.
